Wale Tinubu (C.O.N) is the Group Chief Executive of Oando PLC, sub-Saharan Africa’s foremost Indigenous energy group with a primary listing on the Nigerian Stock Exchange and a cross-border listing on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. Mr. Tinubu is globally recognized for the successful transformation of Oando from a petroleum marketing company to a formidable integrated energy group. He has been recognised with numerous awards as well as been the subject of numerous articles, case studies and books where his leadership skills and achievements have been analyzed. He is a business leader, social entrepreneur, and philanthropist.‍
Omamofe Boyo
Deputy Group Chief Executive
Omamofe has over 25 years of executive management experience covering strategy formulation, transaction execution, institutional restructuring and policy development in the downstream, midstream and upstream oil and gas sectors. Mofe holds a bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from Kings College, London and has attended Advanced Management Programmes at INSEAD. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, the Institute of Directors and the Nigeria Business Council for Sustainable Development (NBCSD). He currently serves on the board of several companies including Oando Energy Resources Nigeria Limited, Oando Trading, Oando Clean Energy, Ocean and Oil Development Partners, Crown Interactive and Temple Productions.
Adeola Ogunsemi
Group Chief Financial Officer
Adeola Ogunsemi serves as both General Manager Finance at Oando Energy Resources Nigeria Limited and Group Chief Financial Officer at Oando PLC. His extensive experience spans accounting, finance, fund raising, mergers, acquisitions, and financial management, including roles at BP America and Northern Illinois Gas. Adeola holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor's degree from DePaul University. He has been a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants for 22 years and an Associate Chartered Accountant in Nigeria for over 15 years. His diverse background encompasses roles in process improvement, internal control evaluation, and joint venture management across various companies in the USA and Nigeria.
Alex Irune
Managing Director, OERNL
An advocate of transformational leadership, Dr. Ainojie ‘Alex’ Irune has over 20 years of multisectoral experience across Energy, Business/IT Consultancy, Research, Innovation & Development. He serves as an Executive Director on the Board of Oando PLC. Until his recent appointment as the Managing Director of OER Nigeria Limited, he was the COO, Oando Energy Resources (OER). He has also been instrumental in workforce-based initiatives to promote a more diverse and inclusive environment as well as build a positive internal culture. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Nottingham.
Ayo Ajose Adeogun
CEO, Mining & Infrastructure
Ayo Ajose-Adeogun is the CEO of Oando Mining & Infrastructure, where he manages a portfolio of mineral licenses, including lithium, bitumen, and gold. He led a successful drilling project in Ogun State in 2023 and is currently initiating community work in Kwara State for lithium exploration. With two decades at Oando, Ayo has held senior roles across various sectors, contributing to key projects like the restructuring of Oando Marketing and the construction of the Apapa Island Jetty. He holds an M.Eng from Imperial College, an MBA from London Business School, and is a Chartered Engineer.
Olu Tinubu
CEO, Oando Trading DMCC
Olu is a seasoned trader with almost 20 years of experience in crude and refined products trading. As Chief Operating Officer of Oando Trading DMCC (OTD) for the past seven years, Olu has led the company through a period of significant growth, achieving a 244% growth in revenue over the past five years (2023 compared to 2019), primarily driven by a 131% increase in crude oil volumes and 260% increase in gasoline volumes. Furthermore, the company continues to expand its global strategic partnerships with established trading relationships with all the major international trading corporations: Glencore,Trafigura, Vitol, Mercuria, Litasco, BB Energy to name a few. OTD has now also successfully diversified into new products, such as Tin and LNG trading as well new markets such as the Republic of Guyana and Trinidad & Tobago.
Ademola Ogunbanjo
President/CEO, Oando Clean Energy Limited
Ademola is the President and CEO of Oando Clean Energy Ltd (OCEL), having previously served as the Executive Vice President. He has extensive experience in leadership roles at Oando Energy Resources, focusing on human capital, supply chain management, and corporate governance. Ademola holds a B.Sc. in Urban and Regional Planning and certificates from prestigious institutions like the London School of Economics and Oxford University. He is a certified market analyst and holds an Executive Masters in Project Management. Ademola is also the pioneer Advisory Board Chairman of the Nigeria Wind Energy Council and has contributed knowledge resources to various organizations.
Akpeneye Efuntomi Omolara
Chief Legal Officer
Efuntomi has over 20 years of professional experience in energy, mining, M&A, financing, corporate/commercial transactions, and dispute resolution matters. Tomi began her career at Banwo & Ighodalo, where she gained invaluable experience from various landmark transactions.In her Chief Legal Officer role, she heads the Group’s legal services department and oversees the legal aspects of the Group’s transactions.She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB Hons.) from the University of Kent, UK, an LLM in Petroleum Law and Policy from the Centre for Energy, Petroleum, and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP), University of Dundee, Scotland, and a Barrister-at-Law (B.L.) from the Nigerian Law School.

Ayotola is an experienced lawyer with over 31 years of experience at the Nigerian Bar and a specialist in Corporate Law, Compliance and Corporate Governance.Ayotola’s legal experience spans several jurisdictions including the United Kingdom, Bermuda, Canada and Nigeria. She has worked in notable firms including, Chief Rotimi Williams Chambers, PwC LLP, and Sara Lee (now Unilever) in the United Kingdom and Citigroup and Capital G Limited in Bermuda.A dual-qualified lawyer (Nigeria and England), she also holds an M.Sc. degree in Corporate Governance & Ethics from the University of London.

HRM Oba Michael Adedotun Gbadebo, CFR, is the Alake of Egbaland, Ogun State, and Chairman of the Board of Oando PLC. Appointed as a Non-Executive Director in April 2006, he had a distinguished military career, serving as Principal Staff Officer to the Chief of Staff, Supreme Headquarters, and receiving several honors, including the Forces Service Star. Since his coronation in 2005, he has also served on various corporate and charitable boards. Oba Gbadebo holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Ibadan and is an alumnus of the Nigerian Armed Forces Command and Staff College.

Adeola Ogunsemi, former Financial Controller of Oando Exploration & Production, is now the CFO of Oando Energy Resources. With over 14 years of experience in accounting and finance, he previously worked at BP America and Northern Illinois Gas, holding key roles in financial management and accounting. He holds an MBA in Finance and Strategic Management from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor's in Accounting and Finance from DePaul University. Ogunsemi is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and an Associate Chartered Accountant in Nigeria.

Ademola Akerele SAN
Non Executive Director
Mr. Ademola Akinrele, born June 3, 1961, in Ondo State, is the Managing Partner at F. O. Akinrele & Co. He holds an LL.B (Hons.) from University College London and an LL.M from University of Cambridge, was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 1983, and became a Senior Advocate of Nigeria in 1999. His career includes serving as Associate at Chief Rotimi Williams Chambers, Co-Editor of the Nigerian Legal Practitioners Review, and Director at Oando Plc, Agip Plc, and Danos & Curole Marine Contractors. He was also Commodore of the Lagos Motor Boat Club and has been recognized for his expertise in commercial law, litigation, aviation, and maritime matters.
Nana Fatima Mede

Mrs. Nana Fatima Mede is an experienced Accountant with over 35 years in Nigeria's public sector. She has held key roles, including Permanent Secretary in the Ministries of Environment and Budget & National Planning. She pioneered Nigeria’s IPPIS project and contributed to the INDC document presented at COP 21. Now retired, she continues as a Technical Consultant and serves on the National Judicial Council.
Alphonsus Ikeme Osakwe

Ike is a retired public and private sector financial management specialist. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemistry from the University of Oxford and is an associate Member of the Institutes of Chartered Accountants both for Nigeria, and for England and Wales.In 2018, he retired and sold this business to an American Corporation, on whose US Board he now sits, bringing his vast experience in the dynamics of most major industrial sectors to bear in his continuing work on corporate governance. Mr Osakwe has held many board appointments and currently serves on the boards of Oando Plc, Proton Energy Ltd., and DAI Global LLC (a US-based global development aid corporation).
Ronke Sokefun

Mrs. Ronke Sokefun, with over 30 years of legal experience, previously held key roles at Ighodalo & Associates, Aluko & Oyebode, where she became a partner, and Oando Group, rising to Chief Legal Officer. She served two terms as Ogun State Commissioner and has chaired the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation since 2019. Mrs. Sokefun also leads the M.R.S. Foundation, focusing on social interventions. She is a fellow of the Institute of Directors and a member of several professional bodies.
Bashir Bello

Bashir Bello is an Oil & Gas Professional with over 32 years of experience in Technical and Executive Management positions across the industry. His expertise spans all sectors, from Downstream (Refining) to Midstream (LNG) and Upstream (Exploration and Production), with a strong focus on Operations, Engineering, Project Management, and Corporate Governance. Bashir has served as a Board Member for Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited, Bonny Gas Transport Company, NLNG Ship Manning Company Limited, and various Board Committees of Nigeria LNG. With a proven ability in Interface and Stakeholder Management, Bashir is skilled at delivering business value in Joint Ventures with diverse shareholder agendas, managing projects with complex interfaces and stakeholder expectations, and overseeing operations with diverse functional requirements and limited resources. Bashir holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering from Bayero University Kano, Nigeria. Bashir is a Fellow of the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), and a Registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).

Ken Igbokwe is a highly experienced management and consulting professional with over 35 years of expertise in various sectors, including oil & gas, financial services and the public sector. During his distinguished career at PwC Nigeria, Ken held key top leadership roles in Assurance, Tax and Consulting. His experience spans a wide range of areas such as statutory, financial and process audits & assurance, business valuations, dispute resolution, financial and information systems risk management, corporate strategy development, corporate performance management, and tax planning. In his role as Country Leader of PwC Nigeria, Ken had responsibility for driving strategic thinking and the visioning that underpinned the growth of the firm. He was in this leadership position for 10 years during which PwC Nigeria business recorded tremendous growth with PwC becoming the leading “Big 4” brand. He led the PwC West Africa business into the Africa-wide PwC merger in 2012. Ken contributes to public discourse and debates on public sector transformation in Nigeria and on matters which focus on corporate governance and the strengthening of the investment climate. Ken holds a B.Sc. (Eng) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College, London University, which he attended as a Shell Scholar and graduated from, in 1978. He is a current member of the Institutes of Chartered Accountants England & Wales, and Nigeria. He is also a current member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.
