Oando Energy Resources, the upstream subsidiary of Oando PLC, will lead conversations on innovation and investment opportunities in the oil and gas industry at key local and international, virtual upstream conferences.
Following the negative fall out of the pandemic on the global energy sector, the Company has spent a significant part of this year in global and local discourse, reiterating the important role that oil and gas has to play in accelerating economic diversification and Nigeria’s industrialization.
Most recently the Company spoke on a panel at the EPOCH of Sustainability 2020 Summit themed ‘Make Sustainable Future Possible’ where experts from a wide range of companies discussed investments in technologies and business strategies, including growth in oil and gas, and pursuance of the Paris goal.
In other conversations, Oando will join more experts representing the upstream oil and gas, power and energy sectors in events that include the Africa Upstream LNG & Gas Online Summit, the Digital Energy Festival hosted by Africa Energy Forum, the Oil & Gas Council, African Utility Week and POWERGEN Africa.
The virtual events taking place between October and November 2020, will see regional and international oil and gas companies, investors and key Government officials across the world address the future of the sector in light of the pandemic, as well as discuss effective strategies for a post COVID-19 world, pivoting to a fast tracked digitalization, sustainability and efficient policies to create an environment which attracts the required infrastructural investment.
