Apart from investing in the communities in the area of education, Oando also sponsors various activities of members of its host communities and the nation as a whole.

In addition to sponsoring various children's competitions, programmes and activities, we have been sponsoring a young and talented golfer called Mohammed Muazu since 2005.

Oando's support of Mohammed Muazu is part of the company's strategic stance on direct and active participation in community involvement projects, particularly focusing on social development.

Mohammed was discovered at Ikoyi Club in 2005, where he was nursing the dream of becoming a professional golfer. Oando has supported him through sponsorship of matches, golf kits and pre-University exams. He has since been a force to be reckoned with in amateur golfing, through his numerous victories.

Mohammed Muazu is one of the best golfers within his age range in Nigeria.

In 2010 and beyond, we intend to sponsor Mohammed Muazu in the area of furthering his education in Golf and creating opportunities for him to compete at professional golf tournaments, while also looking after his personal well being.
